Encryption Requirements
Our web site requires versions of Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer
that support 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption. Your browser must have
this level of encryption enabled in order to access any secure areas of the site.
All information passing between our secure server and your web browser will be encrypted
using the 128-bit technology, ensuring that no person can intercept or eavesdrop
on your account data.
One way to find out what level of encryption your browser supports is to use the
Verisign browser
check. Alternatively, you can also manually verify your browser's encryption
strength by following the instructions below.
If your browser does not meet our security requirements, please use the options
on our Browser Requirements menu to download an upgraded browser. Additional security related information
can also be found in our F.A.Q.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
From the Internet Explorer menu, select Help, then About Internet Explorer.
In the window that appears, the number following the phrase "Cipher Strength" will
indicate your encryption level. That number should read 128-bit, and not 40-bit.
Mozilla Firefox
Navigate to the sign in page of CollateralGuard RC, double-click the icon
on the bottom right hand corner of your browser window. In the "Page Info" window,
under the "Security" tab you should see the text "Connection Encrypted: High-grade
Encryption (RC4 128 bit)".
Netscape Navigator
From the Netscape menu bar, select Help, then About Netscape. Information
about your browser will be displayed on the page that opens. Directly below the
copyright and trademark details, there should be a paragraph that reads "This version
supports high-grade (128-bit) security with RSA Public Key Cryptography ...".
